What Are The Types Of Headaches?
There are more than 150 types of headache, but they are categorized into two, which are; Primary and Secondary Headache
Primary headaches
These are Headaches that are not as a result of another medical condition. Examples of these categories are;
- Migraine: They are often described as pounding, throbbing pain, usually happen one to four times a month, and last for 4 hours to 3 days.
- Sinus Headaches: They're deep and constant pain in the cheekbones, forehead, or on the bridge of the nose. They happen when cavities in the head, called sinuses, get inflamed.
- Cluster Headaches : They’re called cluster headaches because they tend to happen in groups. most people with cluster headaches can’t sit still and will often pace during it attack.
- Tension Headaches : They cause mild to moderate pain and come and go over time. They usually have no other symptoms. Tension headaches are the most common type of headache.
Secondary Headaches
They're headaches that are related to another medical condition , such as;
- Tumor
- Head injury
- Trauma
- High blood pressure
- Sinus congestion
- Infection
What Causes Headache
Headache pain results from signals interacting among the brain, blood vessels and surrounding nerves. During a headache, an unknown mechanism activates specific nerves that affect muscles and blood vessels. These nerves send pain signals to the brain.

Several factors can lead to this;
